Are you accepting new clients? 

Yes! Please don’t hesitate to reach out via the “Contact” box, email, or through my PsychologyToday profile. 

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! I currently accept Aetna and United Healthcare. I am happy to provide you with a superbill if you would like to use your out-of-network benefits.

How much is a session out of pocket? 

The direct pay rate is $200. Payment is accepted via credit card.

Do you have a physical office? 

No, Parallel Psychology is a 100% telehealth practice.

I’ve never tried telehealth. How is it different than in-person therapy?

 Good news! Research demonstrates that telehealth therapy is just as effective as in-person therapy.

How does telehealth work?

Once we schedule a consultation, I will provide you a link to access our meeting via the Secure Video platform, which utilizes Zoom. If we decide to work together for individual therapy, you will receive a recurring Zoom link that you will use for all sessions.

I’d like to get started with therapy. Can I skip the consultation and go straight to the intake?

​Congrats on being so motivated to begin therapy! A consultation is required for all new clients, as this provides us the opportunity to meet each other and determine if we are a good fit. It is important to not skip this part so I can ensure that I could be an effective clinician to meet your therapeutic goals.

What is a consultation?

A consultation is a free 15 minute “meet and greet” session held via Zoom. This provides us an opportunity to virtually meet and discuss what you are looking for in a therapist and a bit about what you are hoping to work on in therapy, as well as for me to help you understand my therapeutic approach. This meeting permits us to determine whether or not we are a good fit. There is no pressure to schedule an intake following the consultation. If we determine we are a good fit and you are interested in moving forward, we will proceed with scheduling an intake session.

What can I expect after the consultation?

If we determine that we seem to be a good fit, we will schedule an intake session. Prior to this session, I will send you instructions to complete the necessary paperwork prior to the intake.

Do you provide phone sessions?

No, it is important for us to be able to see each other in order to ensure the most effective outcomes in therapy. 

 

No, I provide therapeutic serves only to adults.

Do you provide couples or family therapy?

No, I only provide individual therapy.
